Mitt Romney helps Bobby Jindal fundraise

Rumors abound as to who will run for the Republican nomination for President in 2012, with Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, and Sarah Palin being the names that come up the most often. So imagine my surprise when I found out former Governor Mitt Romney was going to help Governor Bobby Jindal fundraise for his re-election race in 2011. It is hard to figure out the angle here, if Romney just trying to bolster his image as a man the Republican Party can count on? Has he made a deal with Jindal of some sort? I don’t have answers to those questions, but I do know this: Bobby Jindal, should he decide to run, will be a major contender for the Republican nomination in 2012–so perhaps Mitt Romney should not be helping his opponents too much.

Jindal, however, has no real reason to refuse the help. Having Mitt Romney stump for him increases his fundraising capabilities and his exposure. And he could use the help with fundraising, he needs the 2011 Gubernatorial race to be a clear-cut victory if he is going to run for President in 2012, as most suspect he will.

This Jindal guy is A-ok!
